Job Description
Personal and confidential employee for an individual judge. The Civil Bailiff is
responsible for processing motions, setting pretrials and hearings, communicating
with parties and attorneys; maintaining the judge’s civil docket; and ensuring
records are complete and accurate for appellate review. This position must also
assist with regulation of the courtroom.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. No weekends. No holidays.
Starting Pay: $26.46/hour. 35 hour work week. Eligible for pay increase after
probation period (6 months). Further salary increases follow the court’s salary
schedule.

Bailiffs work at the pleasure of the judge and therefore are unclassified, at will
employees.
