Monroe County Community College is seeking a Director of Respiratory Therapy to direct and coordinate the Respiratory Therapy Program including, but not limited to, responsibility for communication with students, faculty, and communities of interest, ongoing review and analysis of all program activities, fiscal management of the program, continuous curricula development and review, student support and recruitment, and support for faculty/clinical coordinator to ensure classroom, laboratory, and clinical education are well coordinated and sufficient to meet program outcomes and accreditation standards.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy from a DOE-recognized, accredited institution of higher education and actively pursuing a master’s degree in respiratory care or relevant field;  valid respiratory therapist (RRT) license from the State of Michigan; a minimum of 4 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist; 2 years of experience in clinical respiratory care; and 2 years of experience teaching at a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program, whether an appointed faculty member or clinical preceptor; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
