Martin Luther King Jr., continuing a tradition that began in 1977, six years before the federal government designated a day to honor King.

The 48th annual celebration takes place from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, at the KeyBank State Theatre (1519 Euclid Ave.). The remembrance will feature a musical performance by Pastor Marvin L. Baston, J.D., Ed.D., said. “At Tri-C, we strive to embody these values every day, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive. We gather to reflect on Dr. King’s vision as we celebrate the progress we’ve made and contemplate the work that still lies ahead.”

For more information or to watch a livestream, visit the MLK Annual Birthday Observance web page (tri-c.edu/MLK2025)

48th annual remembrance is longest-running MLK event in Cleveland CLEVELAND — Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) will host an evening celebration of the annual birthday observance of the Rev.
