new statewide <em>Human Trafficking Hotline<\/em> established by the office of <em>Ohio Attorney General Dave<\/em> Yost can now be accessed in four convenient ways, making it easy for the public to report information about suspected human trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHuman trafficking thrives in the shadows, but we cannot allow it to stay hidden,\u201d Yost said. \u201cWe need every Ohioan to be our eyes and ears \u2014 because one tip can save a life, one tip can help us free someone who desperately needs our help.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contact Ohio\u2019s Statewide Human Trafficking Hotline:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Call (844) END-OHHT<\/li>\n<li>Text \u201cENDOHHT\u201d to 847411<\/li>\n<li>Use the new ENDOHHT app, which can be downloaded on Apple or Android devices<\/li>\n<li>Or submit an online form at ohioattorneygeneral.gov\/ENDOHHT.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Ohio-specific hotline streamlines the process for reaching professionals who are trained in investigating human trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>Tips coming into the hotline, which is operated 24\/7 by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, are assessed by criminal intelligence analysts, who will forward relevant information to the appropriate local law enforcement agency or victim advocacy center for social services.<\/p>\n<p>For emergency situations, individuals should always call 911 immediately.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese expanded reporting options help shine a brighter light on traffickers and steer victims toward what we call the \u2018Highway to Hope,\u2019\u201d Yost said. \u201cWe
