Art of the Cut @ the Toledo Museum of Art (TMA) with Les Levesque was a huge success! Les has been a licensed barber for almost 25 years. In an interview with Les, he told La Prensa, Inc. that he believes \u201cBarbershops are a safe environment to decompress and get out of the routine of life.\u201d He also said that he takes it \u201cvery seriously\u201d when creating an environment where his customers feel safe physically and emotionally because he understands that people come to him not only to look better but more importantly to feel better.<\/p>\n

To Les, a Barbershop is \u201ca haven to regain your confidence,\u201d especially when Barbershops have traditionally been where people gather and talk. According to Les, \u201cThere are deep traditions set, and people are looking for a place where they can leave different than they came in,\u201d which he hopes to continue and provide. Les says, \u201cEvery barber has an opportunity to speak life into people,\u201d and that \u201cWE can impact their mental health in a positive way which in turn impacts our community.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Art of the Cut on Sunday, February 23, 2025, was a great example of the importance and beauty of barbershops. It highlighted the creativity of Barbershops, at an art museum, while also being used to unite people and produce positive and inclusive energy.<\/p>\n
