On May 9, 2025, Laurie\u2019s Place<\/em> opened their doors in West
\nToledo, located at 722 N. Westwood Ave., near The University of Toledo,<\/em> expanding the services of Mom\u2019s House<\/em> which historically has only been located near Central Catholic High School<\/em> in central Toledo. Collaborating with the Pregnancy Center,<\/em> located next door to this new location, according to Christina Rodriguez, Executive Director of Mom\u2019s House,<\/em> \u201cthis collaborative new space marks a major milestone in both organizations\u2019 shared mission to empower single parents and families through expanded services and support.\u201d<\/p>\n

Laurie\u2019s Place, like Mom\u2019s House, are spaces \u201cdedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and welfare.\u201d They empower at-risk single parents to achieve their educational goals while equipping them with the tools and resources necessary to become effective caregivers. The Pregnancy Center has been in West Toledo since 1984. El 9 de mayo de 2025, Laurie\u2019s Place abri\u00f3 sus puertas en West Toledo, cerca de la Universidad de Toledo (UToledo), ampliando as\u00ed los servicios de Mom\u2019s House, que hist\u00f3ricamente solo se han estado cerca de la Escuela Secundaria Cat\u00f3lica Central en el centro de Toledo. En colaboraci\u00f3n con el Centro de Embarazo, seg\u00fan Christina Rodr\u00edguez, Directora Ejecutiva de Mom\u2019s House, \u201ceste nuevo espacio colaborativo marca un hito importante en la misi\u00f3n compartida de ambas organizaciones de empoderar a padres y madres solteros y familias mediante la ampliaci\u00f3n de servicios y apoyo.\u201d<\/p>\n
