This event celebrated the students\u2019 hard work, their creativity, and things they learned throughout the year about recycling, conservation, and the sustainability of our planet. Escuela SMART is a Pre-K through 6<sup>th<\/sup>-grade bilingual (Spanish\/English) public school in Toledo, Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>In the photo below is 6<sup>th<\/sup> grader Estefany Barrios-Villanueva and Mrs. Paredes. Next year, Estefany will be attending the Toledo Pre-Medical &amp; Health Science Academy. The Toledo Pre-Med program is a partnership between ProMedica and Mercy College. It is for students interested in going into the healthcare field. Students must be accepted into the program. Enrollment is open, it\u2019s tuition-free, and there is no charge for textbooks. The program offers courses that prepare students for college and courses with credits that can be used towards their undergraduate degree. Students accepted into this program can gain up to two years of college credit, meaning technically they would only need a couple more years to complete their undergraduate degree (depending on how many credits they take a semester in higher ed.) and they could finish their degree at a younger age, more prepared, and with less debt or assistance needed from their parents\/guardians than the traditional undergraduate student that enters college after four years of high school. The second photo is of 6<sup>th<\/sup> grader Marvin Martinez and Mr. Bautista. Marvin is the winner of their Engineering Competition. Linda Alvarado-Arce<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El mi\u00e9rcoles 14 de mayo de 2025, los alumnos de 6.\u00ba grado de la Academia Escuela SMART de las Escuelas P\u00fablicas de Toledo (TPS) organizaron su primera Feria de Conservaci\u00f3n y Sostenibilidad, dirigida por la Sra. Paredes y el Sr. Bautista. Este evento celebr\u00f3 el esfuerzo, la creatividad y los aprendizajes de los alumnos durante el a\u00f1o sobre reciclaje, conservaci\u00f3n y sostenibilidad de nuestro planeta. La Escuela SMART es una escuela p\u00fablica biling\u00fce (espa\u00f1ol\/ingl\u00e9s) de preescolar a 6.\u00ba grado en Toledo, Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>En la foto de abajo se ven Estefany Barrios-Villanueva, alumna de 6.\u00ba grado, y la Sra. Paredes. El pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o, Estefany asistir\u00e1 a la Academia de Ciencias de la Salud y Pre-Medicina de Toledo. El programa de Pre-Medicina de Toledo es una colaboraci\u00f3n entre ProMedica y Mercy College. Est\u00e1 dirigido a estudiantes interesados \u200b\u200ben la salud. Los estudiantes deben ser aceptados en el programa. La inscripci\u00f3n est\u00e1 abierta, la matr\u00edcula es gratuita y los libros de texto son gratuitos. El programa ofrece cursos que preparan a los estudiantes para la universidad y cursos con cr\u00e9ditos que pueden utilizarse para obtener su t\u00edtulo universitario.
