Dr. Vinny Riccardi is the Executive Director of the Youth Community Connections, Inc. The Youth Community Connections, Inc. works with young male adults within our community who have been successful in completing independent living programs. What\u2019s more, Dr. Riccardi has recently purchased transitional housing in the historic Southend of Toledo. In the photo, you can see a couple of the homes he has recently bought to rehab and assist young men on their journey of independent living. Dr. Riccardi continues this mission because he says, \u201cMany young men in our community are currently couch-surfing and have not been able to find the appropriate guidance and support to learn to live independently.\u201d Dr. Riccardi\u2019s program is designed to help empower, teach, and support young men towards self-sufficiency and stability. Their mission is to reconnect youth with family, schools, and the community to create a safe and healthy environment in which to learn. One of the programs of the Youth Community Connections is called \u201cSi Yo Puedo\u201d (S.Y.P.). His program also works with Children Services, the Bridges Program, the Believe Center, and local churches.<\/p>\n

El Dr. Vinny Riccardi es el director ejecutivo de Youth Community Connections, Inc. Youth Community Connections, Inc. trabaja con j\u00f3venes adultos varones de nuestra comunidad que han completado con \u00e9xito programas de vida independiente. Adem\u00e1s, el Dr. Riccardi recientemente compro unas viviendas de transici\u00f3n en el hist\u00f3rico Southend de Toledo. En la foto puedes ver un par de las viviendas que compro recientemente para rehabilitar y ayudar a los j\u00f3venes. El Dr. Riccardi contin\u00faa con esta misi\u00f3n porque dice que, “Muchos j\u00f3venes de nuestra comunidad actualmente se encuentran en situaci\u00f3n de couch-surfing y no han podido encontrar la orientaci\u00f3n ni el apoyo adecuado para aprender a vivir de forma independiente.” El programa del Dr. Riccardi est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para ayudar a empoderar, ense\u00f1ar, y apoyar a los j\u00f3venes ser autosuficiencia y estable. La misi\u00f3n es para reconectar a los j\u00f3venes con la familia, la escuelas, y la comunidad para crear un entorno seguro y saludable donde pueden aprender.
