The Toledo Heights Library is located at 423 Shasta Dr., in South Toledo, next to Highland Park and Swan Creek. Celeste Felix, M.Ed., is the Branch Manager. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has a passion for providing free access to information, fostering lifelong learning, and building communities. Mrs. Lupe Ayala is the Circulation Supervisor. Lupe was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, and has been with the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library system for 25 years.\u00a0She has a passion for gardening and works with the local nonprofit, Toledo GROWs, to provide the community with a vegetable &amp; herb garden at the library, which has, among other things, jalapenos, cabbage, and tomatoes. Together, this dynamic duo and their team of librarians and circulation clerks work hard every day, driven by compassion, to serve the community, show leadership, and create connections.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the library is filled with programs, services, and reading materials that engage people of all ages, while also offering a wide range of resources, such as books, online databases, study spaces, and programming for all age groups.\u00a0 The library also provides meals to youth 19 years of age and under every day at 1 pm.\u00a0Upcoming programs include: For KIDS ages 5-14, on June 23, 2025, a Toledo Mud Hens Baseball camp, where kids can learn the fundamental skills and knowledge of the game. On June 30, 2025, TEENS, ages 13-19, can get a fun introduction to gardening through a program called \u201cBudding Gardeners\u2019 Adventure.\u201d\u00a0And ADULTS, ages 19 and over, on August 18, 2025, can come in for \u201cCake Pops with Luvable Sweets.\u201d All summer: ALL AGES are welcome to the Toledo Heights Library from 3:30 pm- 5:00 pm for their Summer Social. Beginning on July 15, 2025, the library will have GED classes every Tuesday &amp; Thursday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. To register, call 419-491-8433 or contact the branch at 419-259-5220.
