The presentation of the film, The Teacher (2023), was shown at the Monroe Street United Methodist Church (MSUMC) on June 10, 2025. It had 48 people in attendance, with a discussion that followed and centered on the importance of hearing stories that are typically silenced in schools and the media. The film follows Basem, a West Bank Palestinian schoolteacher dedicated to his students\u2019 well-being but also active in present-day political resistance. Writer and director Farah Nabulsi describes the film as \u201ca story about characters that represent a severely marginalized and underrepresented people.\u201d The film, according to Nabulsi, was motivated by the need \u201cto make this film to cope with the injustice I\u2019ve witnessed.\u201d MSUMC\u2019s Inclusion Committee sponsored this award-nominated film because of their commitment to recognizing the value of all God\u2019s people and to supporting all people\u2019s realities of being heard. La presentaci\u00f3n de la pel\u00edcula El Maestro (2023) se proyect\u00f3 en la Iglesia Metodista Unida de la Calle Monroe (MSUMC) el 10 de junio de 2025. Asistieron 48 personas y posteriormente se realiz\u00f3 un debate centrado en la importancia de escuchar historias que son silenciados en las escuelas y los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n. La pel\u00edcula sigue a Basem, un maestro palestino de Cisjordania dedicado al bienestar de sus alumnos, pero tambi\u00e9n activo en las resistencias pol\u00edticas.
