\u00a0<\/strong>On November 20, 2025, Toledo Public Schools\u2019 (TPS) Marshall STEMM Academy\u2019s 3rd<\/sup> and 4th<\/sup> graders, with their teacher Catherine Hernandez, kicked off a project-based learning project with a Latino Forum where the students asked the Latinx panel questions. The Latinx leaders present were President of the Toledo Public School Board, Bob Vasquez (moderator), \u201cGrandpa Joe\u201d Balderas & Veronica Reynaga of Sofia Quintero Arts & Cultural Center (SQACC), Jacob Estrada, owner of Lowrider\u2019s Caf\u00e9 & musician, and two former Marshall elementary students (alumnus), Jessica Martinez & Roberta Snow Quintanilla Nee Martinez. The students researched the panelist prior to developing and asking their questions to them at the forum. The event highlighted the rich Latinx culture we have here in Toledo, Ohio, past and present.<\/p>\n

Los alumnos de 3.\u00ba y 4.\u00ba grado de la Academia STEMM de Marshall y de las Escuelas P\u00fablicas de Toledo (TPS), junto con su maestra Catherine Hern\u00e1ndez, el 20 de noviembre de 2025, iniciaron un proyecto de aprendizaje basado en proyectos con un Foro Latino. All\u00ed, los estudiantes formularon preguntas al panel latino. Los l\u00edderes latinos presentes fueron el presidente de la Junta Escolar de Toledo, Bob V\u00e1squez (moderador), \u201cGrandpa Joe\u201d Balderas y Ver\u00f3nica Reynaga del Centro de Artes y Cultura Sof\u00eda Quintero (SQACC), Jacob Estrada, propietario de Lowrider’s Caf\u00e9 y m\u00fasico, y dos exalumnas de la escuela primaria Marshall, Jessica Mart\u00ednez y Roberta Snow Quintanilla Nee Mart\u00ednez. Los estudiantes investigaron a los panelistas antes de formular sus preguntas en el foro. El evento fue un reflejo de la rica cultura latina que tenemos aqu\u00ed en Toledo, Ohio, en el pasado y presente.<\/p>\n
