DHS lies.<\/p>\n

They lied about Ayman Soliman. They lied about Venezuelans in Ohio, calling them gang members when they were not. They lied about Operation Buckeye in Columbus, where the overwhelming majority of the people arrested have no criminal history.<\/p>\n

Renee Good, a U.S. citizen in Minneapolis, was murdered in cold blood by a federal agent today. It\u2019s unclear whether her family had even been notified before DHS Secretary Kristi Noem attacked her in a press conference. Video from every angle shows Good was attempting to leave a chaotic and dangerous scene. She did not drive her car toward anyone. Ohio native Tricia McLaughlin, a DHS spokesperson, claimed the ICE agent who murdered Good fired \u201cdefensive shots.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one with eyes can watch this video and conclude that it was self defense. Renee Good\u2019s killing was an execution. As a woman, mom, daughter, and community member, I know this could have been any one of us,\u201d said Lynn Tramonte, Executive Director of the Ohio Immigrant Alliance. \u201cWe said ICE brings violence to our communities, and this is exactly what we meant. Our federal government is unleashing agents without training, armed with deadly tools, onto our streets. They are supposed to enforce civil laws. Yet they feel emboldened and empowered to shoot into cars. That\u2019s outrageous.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat ICE agent didn\u2019t know Renee Good\u2019s name when he shot her. She wasn\u2019t a wanted person; his life was not in danger. He was on a power trip, with the tone set from above \u2014 Secretary Noem, the President, and the real person in charge, Stephen Miller. U.S. Americans need to wake up. Our government is literally killing us because it hates immigrants. It doesn\u2019t make any sense, but that\u2019s what is going on. We need to abolish ICE, before it abolishes us.<\/p>\n
