It is celebrated in the schools throughout the month, the community, and this year it was celebrated at the downtown (main) Toledo\/Lucas County Public Library on May 2, 2026, where they occupied the first and second floor with resource tables and award recognitions.<\/p>\n<p><em>Claire\u2019s Day Maumee is staged on the third Saturday of May at the Maumee Branch of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library system.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The awards, C.A.R.E. Awards, have grown from 25 honorees to over 1300 annually. This award celebrates students selected as the most improved readers. Each C.A.R.E. Award recipient receives a personalized certificate and a coupon to choose a book written or illustrated by one of the participating authors and illustrators. The school visit outreach program, developed in the third year of the event, partners with over 30 schools in the Greater Toledo Area who host guest authors and illustrators to read their books to the students at their schools. Linda Alvarado-Arce<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(Toledo, OH) &#8211; El D\u00eda de Claire comenz\u00f3 como un festival de libros infantiles de un d\u00eda en honor a <em>Claire Lynsey Rubini. <\/em>Hoy en d\u00eda, es casi un mes completo de experiencias literarias para ni\u00f1os y sus familias.
