oil<\/li>\n<li>Salt to taste<\/li>\n<li>(Optional) \u00bd cup queso fresco, crumbled<\/li>\n<li>(Optional) 1 avocado, diced<\/li>\n<li>(Optional) 1 tsp Mexican oregano<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preparation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Rinse the nopales<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Drain the jar and rinse under cold water 2\u20133 times to remove brine flavor.<\/p>\n<p>Let them drain well so the salad doesn\u2019t get watery<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Prep the vegetables<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Combine tomatoes, onion, jalape\u00f1o, and cilantro in a bowl.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Season and dress<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Add lime juice, olive oil, and salt.<\/p>\n<p>Mix until the tomatoes release a little juice.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Add the nopales<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Fold in the rinsed nopales.<\/p>\n<p>Taste and adjust salt or lime.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Chill (optional but better)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Refrigerate 20\u201330 minutes
