Juventino F. \u201cJR\u201d L\u00f3pez Jr., age 80, of Toledo passed away peacefully at home Monday, September 5, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 4, 1942 in Elmira, OH to Juventino and Juanita (Fonseca) Lopez Sr. \u00a0JR was a graduate of Scott High.<\/p>\n

A hard worker throughout his life, his places of employment included City Auto Stamping, Toledo Terminal, L.O.F, the Rec Center, Willys Overland (Jeep), and CSX Railroad. He retired in 2005.<\/p>\n

\u201cJunior\u201d was a longtime active member of Latins United<\/em>, having served as both president and vice president. A talented musician, he played drums with several area bands including John Luna and the Renegades<\/em>, and Los Tequileros<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Family always came first to JR. He was happy to help at the family restaurants, El Charro<\/em> and Via Rosa<\/em>. He cherished his family and friends, loved working in his yard, and was always the life of the party. He was a parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church.<\/p>\n

JR is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lily (Pecina) L\u00f3pez (married July 24, 1960); daughters, Mary Ellen S\u00e1nchez, Christina (David) Gonzles, Joanne Garza, Lily Ann L\u00f3pez and Estrella L\u00f3pez; sons, David (Heidi), Juventino III (Jennifer), and Alfred (Crystal) L\u00f3pez, Ronald Ramos, Thomas, Jason, and Jos\u00e9 L\u00f3pez; and a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Mary Serna, Matilda \u201cMillie\u201d Cook, and Margaret \u201cMaggie\u201d Barret; and brother, John L\u00f3pez.<\/p>\n

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Randolph Sr. and Alejandro L\u00f3pez; sisters, Virginia L\u00f3pez, Linda Ramos, and Eloise Alvardo; brothers, Celestino L\u00f3pez, and Jessie L\u00f3pez Sr.; and grandchildren, Stefen Salo, Michael L\u00f3pez, and Serena Hern\u00e1ndez.<\/p>\n
