Programs include panel\u00a0discussions by special guests and local organizations, storytimes, live music at the library, and so much more.<\/p>\n<p>The month-long event will culminate at a day-long Dia de los Muertos Festival . All events take place\u00a0between Thursday, September 15 \u2013 Thursday, November 3, 2022.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GRPL\u2019s series of <\/strong><strong>educational and entertaining programming <\/strong><strong>includes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Celebrate Hispanic Heritage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Thursday, September 15 \u2013 Thursday, November 3, 2022<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Celebrate Hispanic Heritage with the Grand Rapids Public Library!<\/p>\n<p>Our celebration designed for kids and adults features special storytimes, celebrity guests, live music by local bands, important community conversations and so much more! Our celebration will conclude with a\u00a0day-long D\u00eda de los Muertos Festival for all ages. Seating is first come,\u00a0first served.<\/p>\n<p>Cabildo is a West Michigan based alternative Latin rock collective. They deliver a unique blend of\u00a0cumbia, ska, folk and other genres of music from Latin and South America.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fiesta Storytimes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Join members of the community and GRPL staff for a bilingual book reading! Elaborate altars honoring\u00a0family and friends who have passed away will be on display throughout the afternoon for attendees\u00a0to view.<\/p>\n<p>Music, latino food, workshops, and crafts will also be available during this day-long festival.<\/p>\n<p>A Day of the Dead procession from the Hispanic Center of West Michigan to Roosevelt Park will\u00a0take place from 2:00- 3:00 pm.
