\"\"LORAIN: NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness)<\/em> of Lorain County is excited to announce that for the first time the annual meeting will be in the form of a dinner awards banquet.\u00a0 The banquet will take place November 14, 2022\u00a0from 6pm to 9pm at the Emerald Event Center, located at\u00a033040 Just Imagine Dr, Avon, OH 44011.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited to take the next step in mental health awareness by hosting this event,\u201d said Kelly LaRosa, Executive Director for NAMI Lorain County.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s an opportunity for us to really let people know about the free services that are available to those living with mental health conditions and their families.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to learning what NAMI of Lorain County has planned for the future, the banquet will feature Youngstown\u2019s own, Catherine Bossley, who will speak on mental health as it relates to cyberbullying.\u00a0 Also, awards will be given to those in the county who personify NAMI\u2019s mission of mental health education, advocacy, and support groups.<\/p>\n

Since 1986, NAMI of Lorain County has served families and individuals within our region impacted by mental health conditions. Mental illnesses can affect persons of any age, race, religion or income.
