The report,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif'; color: #26282a;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.edexcelencia.org\/research\/latino-college-completion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #0563c1;\">Latino College Completion: United States 2023<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;\">, provides national data on enrollment and graduation rates, and degree completion gaps between Latinos and White non-Hispanic students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt; background: white;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif'; color: #26282a;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt; background: white;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;\">President Philomena V. Mantella said Latino students in Michigan graduate from four-year institutions at a rate 10 points lower than their White non-Hispanic peers, 54 percent compared to 64 percent. Mantella said being active in Excelencia, advocating and supporting Latino students will help to close that gap.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt; background: white;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif'; color: #26282a;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt; background: white;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;\">\u201cGVSU is proud to stand with other institutions within Excelencia\u2019s network that have pledged to support Latino students,&#8221; Mantella said. &#8220;We were in the initial cohort to receive a Seal of Excellence four years ago. Our work has not stopped.
