Robert \u201cRobs\u201d Tapia, 68, of Genoa, Ohio, died peacefully on October 19, 2023, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio after losing his courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Fremont, Ohio, to Santos and Dolores Tapia.<\/p>\n
Robert attended The Ohio State University and lived for thirty years in Southern California, working as a manager for various freight companies at LAX before returning to Genoa to reside with his brother, Rick. There he enjoyed helping with their extensive garden and raising their small flock of chickens. Rob loved trying out new restaurants and sharing finds from local markets and orchards.<\/p>\n
He is survived by his brothers, Richard \u201cRick\u201d Tapia and Jesse (Christina) Tapia; sister-in-law, Joan Tapia; and was a loving uncle to nieces, Anne Tapia (Ernie Long) and Maggie Tapia; nephews, Alex Tapia and David Tapia; three great-nephews and a great-niece. He was preceded in death by brother, Joseph Anthony \u201cTony\u201d.<\/p>\n
