TOLEDO, Ohio \u2013 The Victory Center is thrilled to announce an expansion to a third location. The new satellite location will be inside the ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital, 1200 Ralson Ave, Defiance, Ohio. It is set to open on February 1, 2024. ProMedica is leasing the specially-designed space for just $1 to the local nonprofit that specializes in providing free programs and services for cancer patients, survivors, and family members. \u201cWe will provide most of the same things we do at our Toledo and Perrysburg locations, just on a smaller scale,\u201d said Dianne Barndt, Executive Director. \u201cWe are thrilled to be expanding and making it easier and more convenient for patients in the Defiance and surrounding smaller communities to visit The Victory Center!\u201d Oncology massage, reiki, reflexology, counseling, and yoga are some of the first services to be offered in the new space.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are so excited to have The Victory Center joining our campus and bringing these services to the community,\u201d said Keith Burmeister, president of ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital. \u201cAs the region\u2019s leader in health care, we understand how important cancer wellness services can be to patients and families navigating a cancer journey.\u201d An Open House will be held in January 2024 so the public can tour the new facility and learn more about The Victory Center.<\/p>\n
The Victory Center was founded in 1996 to support and educate cancer patients and those closest to them by providing services aimed at meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those touched by cancer. Services are provided at no cost to patients.
