\"\"CLEVELAND, <\/strong>February 2, 2024: Come February 24, when guests enter the main exhibits area on the first floor of Great Lakes Science Center, they will be greeted with an all-new permanent exhibition gallery just beyond the familiar blue welcome arch.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Cleveland Creates Gallery<\/a>\u00a0presented by The Sherwin-Williams Company is a new addition to the museum\u2019s permanent exhibits, and it is inspired by the innovative spirit of the city that lies just outside the museum\u2019s doors. The new gallery underscores Northeast Ohio\u2019s story of manufacturing technology and represents a $2.25 million investment in changing the Science Center\u2019s visitor experience.<\/p>\n

Inside the gallery, guests will engage with interactive exhibits that dive into the realms of technology, sensors, data and remote robotics, and will give them an opportunity to explore the tools and skills that are driving advances in Northeast Ohio.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe interactive exhibits within this new entrance gallery are an outgrowth of the Science Center\u2019s programs,\u201d said Science Center President & CEO Kirsten Ellenbogen. \u201cMany of our programs for schools have explored these topics and led us to this moment, including our Robotics Initiative for youth, our annual Manufacturing Day event, and workshops that introduce the Internet of Things, blockchain and more.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSherwin-Williams is thrilled to support the creation of the Cleveland Creates Gallery. This fun and engaging exhibit is a testament to the Science Center\u2019s commitment to bringing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to life for the people of our community,\u201d said Diana Strongosky, Sherwin-Williams, Senior Vice President, Global Innovation. \u201cTheir extensive workforce development programming is given a new home here, providing the next generation of innovators the building blocks of emerging technology and STEM career opportunities that exist right here, in our own backyard.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stationed throughout the gallery are real-life representations of STEM professionals from across the community, covering industries such as aeronautics, automation, remote robotics, steel and chemistry. These authentic and representational members of the community are embedded into the exhibits that will inspire guests to see themselves confidently in the STEM-rich workforce of tomorrow. The gallery was developed, designed and fabricated with a multi-lingual approach including dual language interactives, videos and labels for broader inclusion.<\/p>\n

The Cleveland Creates Gallery opens to the public officially at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, and is included with general admission to the Science Center.<\/p>\n
