\"\"TOLEDO, Feb. 20, 2024: The Ohio State University Extension Lucas County Educators in cooperation with Metroparks Toledo are hosting monthly educational programs on a range of exciting topics \u2014 food, gardening, mindfulness, and more.<\/p>\n

Programs will be offered at the new Glass City Enrichment Center at 815 Front Street, next to Toledo\u2019s award-wining Glass City Metropark.<\/em> The program dates are Thursdays \u2014March 14, April 11, and May 9 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. The programs and parking are free. Reservations are necessary, as space is limited. To register visit go.osu.edu\/osugcec<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited to begin monthly programming for the community at the new Glass City Enrichment Center. The March 14 program features information on food from garden to plate in celebration of National Nutrition Month. Our April 11 program will highlight victory gardens with a seed giveaway,\u201d said Amy Stone<\/em>, Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator for Extension Lucas County. \u201cOn May 9, we will be talking about nature for the health of it drawing attention to mindfulness in the outdoors. All programs are open to adults, youth, and their parents\/caregivers.\u201d<\/p>\n

The OSU Extension is a county- based non-profit educational resource. Included within Extension is Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education and Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program.<\/p>\n
