\"\"<\/a>The Parma Run-Walk for Pierogies returns to the\u00a0Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C\u00ae)\u00a0Western Campus for the 13th<\/sup>\u00a0year. The run kicks off at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, at 11000 Pleasant Valley Road in Parma. Attendees can choose between a 5K run, a 5K walk, or a 1-mile walk and run course.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re so excited the Pierogies Run is returning to Tri-C Western,\u201d said Western Campus President Lisa Williams. \u201cIt\u2019s always wonderful to have the wider community come to our campus \u2014 especially when pierogies are involved.\u201d<\/p>\n

State Representative Sean Patrick Brennan founded and oversees the race.\u00a0 This year\u2019s event is sponsored by Tri-C, the University Hospitals Parma Medical Center, Perla Pierogies, and Rep. Brennan. Proceeds benefit charities and projects, including All Faiths Pantry, the City of Parma Scholarship, the Ukrainian Cleveland Maidan Society, among others.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have used the proceeds from the Run-Walk for Pierogies over the past 13 years to offer scholarships to help high school students headed for college, cosmetic upgrades to our local city parks, to help our local foodbanks, and so much more\u201d said Brennan. \u201cThe main goal of this race is to get some exercise, have fun, and eat some pierogies while benefiting the community. I am very proud of the great things we have accomplished over the past 13 years.\u201d<\/p>\n

The first 600 to register are guaranteed a Pierogi Run t-shirt and a certificate for a half-dozen pierogies from Perla Pierogies after completing the race.<\/p>\n

Preregistration is $30\u00a0and closes at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 28. Day-of registration is $35. Kids ages 11 and under are $20.\u00a0 Sign up online at\u00a0https:\/\/runsignup.com\/Race\/OH\/Parma\/runwalkforpierogies<\/a><\/p>\n

The top three men and women in their age group divisions will win pierogi-themed awards. Following the race, all participants will get icy and wet towels to cool off and be served some fresh pierogies from Perla Pierogies.<\/p>\n
