El Centro Hub Brings Health Fair Back to the Old South End for Second Year

Toledo, OH — El Centro Hub at the Sofia Quintero Art & Cultural Center is gearing up for its 2nd Annual Community Health Fair on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The event will be held at the Sofia Quintero Event Center at 1225 Broadway St. in Toledo’s Old South End and is free and open to the community, with sponsorship from Anthem.
More than 20 organizations will be on-site offering health screenings, resources, food assistance, health insurance enrollment support, mental health and wellness resources. Bilingual (Spanish/English) support will be available throughout the day.
On-Site Health Services
This year, the health fair will feature several major health partners bringing direct care to the community. The Mercy Mammogram Van will be on-site offering mammogram screenings. Community members interested in taking advantage of the mammogram on-site screening should pre-register by calling Belinda Covarrubias at 419-241-1655.
The UT Health Mobile Unit will also be at the event, providing on-site health services and screenings, and Central Outreach Wellness Center will be offering on site STI testing with physician support available on the same day if needed.
Whether you need health screening, help navigating insurance options, housing or information about food assistance, the fair is designed to bring everything together under one roof, so families don’t have to run all over the city to get the help they need.
“This health fair is about meeting families where they are and removing the barriers that keep people from getting the care and support they need,” said Belinda Covarrubias, Hub Director at El Centro Hub. “We want our neighbors to know that these resources exist and that they are welcome here.”

El Centro Hub vuelve a organizar la Feria de la Salud en el Old South End por segundo año consecutivo

Toledo, Ohio — El Centro Hub, ubicado en el Centro Artístico y Cultural Sofia Quintero, se prepara para celebrar su segunda Feria Anual de la Salud Comunitaria el martes 21 de Abril de 2026, de 10:00 a.m. a 3:00 p.m. El evento se llevará a cabo en el Centro de Eventos Sofia Quintero, situado en el 1225 de Broadway St., en el Old South End de Toledo, y será gratuito y abierto a la comunidad, con el patrocinio de Anthem.
Más de 20 organizaciones estarán presentes ofreciendo exámenes de salud, recursos, ayuda alimentaria, apoyo para la inscripción en seguros médicos y recursos de salud mental y bienestar. Habrá asistencia bilingüe (español/inglés) disponible durante el evento.
Servicios de salud
Este año, la feria de salud contará con varios socios importantes que ofrecerán atención directa a la comunidad. La unidad móvil de mamografías de Mercy estará presente ofreciendo pruebas de mamografía. Las personas interesadas en hacerse la prueba de mamografía en el evento deben inscribirse previamente llamando a Belinda Covarrubias al 419-241-1655.
La Unidad Móvil de UT Health también estará presente en el evento, proporcionando servicios de salud y exámenes médicos, y el Central Outreach Wellness Center ofrecerá pruebas de ITS en el evento con asistencia médica disponible el mismo día si es necesario.
Tanto si necesita exámenes de salud, ayuda para orientarse entre las opciones de seguro, vivienda o información sobre asistencia alimentaria, la feria está diseñada para reunir todo bajo un mismo techo, de modo que las familias no tengan que recorrer toda la ciudad para obtener la ayuda que necesitan.
“Esta feria de salud tiene como objetivo llegar a las familias allí donde se encuentran y eliminar las barreras que impiden que las personas reciban la atención y el apoyo que necesitan,” dijo Belinda Covarrubias, directora de El Centro Hub. “Queremos que nuestros vecinos sepan que estos recursos existen y que son bienvenidos aquí.”
