Aztec Dave’s Cantina (1143 N. California Ave.) & the food truck “Cocina Mexican” in Chicago, IL are must-visit and must-eat for those going to a baseball game, to one of the local Latinx festivals held annually at Humboldt Park, or even for the vegetarian looking for a great veggie taco. Aztec Dave’s Cantina is a family-owned business that started in 2015 with brothers David, the reason for the name Dave, and Ramon Torres. It has a full Mexican menu from shrimp, fish, beef, and/or chicken tacos or platters to a full bar filled with numerous tequilas, mezcals, and huge flat-screen TVs to watch the World Cup. Moreover, the artwork on the walls is a must-see on its own, and features famous Latinx artists and musicians, and is painted by a local Latinx artist. When in Chicago, please go visit Aztec Dave’s Cantina and support our local Latinx entrepreneurs.
