TOLEDO, Ohio, July 26, 2022 – The Toledo Zoo announced today that it will extend hours on Thursdays, beginning July 28 through Thursday, Aug. 25 for families to enjoy cooler evenings and fun activities.
“We are excited to provide our guests an opportunity to enjoy an unique evening experience with live music, animals demos, and a variety of dining opportunities. But most importantly, these evenings offer a rare chance to enjoy the Zoo in the beautiful twilight hours of summer as the sun sets and the temperatures cool,” said Shayla Moriarty, chief of staff and senior vice president of The Toledo Zoo.
On Twilight Thursdays, the gates will be open until 8:00 p.m. and The Zoo will close at 9 p.m. Many exhibits, activities and retail shops will be open, and additional animal experiences will take place at 6:00 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
Food and beverages will be available at the Beastro, Monarch Market, Northern Ice and the Bakery. The Beastro will offer a special Happy Hour from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. and will include one-dollar off draft beers and other specials.
Live entertainment will also be present in the Main Plaza during Twilight Thursdays.
General admission is half price after 4:00 p.m. and Toledo Zoo members can visit Twilight Thursdays for free.
