March 2, 2022: Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz has announced 24 refuse and recycling drop-off events throughout the city this year.
Acceptable items include electronic waste (including TV’s and CRT TV’s and monitors); up to 10 tires, on or off the rim, but no commercial tires; document shredding and recycling; houseware goods; clothing; toys; bulky items, cardboard, and refuse.
Styrofoam and boat wrap will be accepted April 23, May 7 and May 21. No air conditioning units, refrigerators/freezers, or large appliances will be accepted.
This year latex paint, oil-based paint, and stains are accepted free of charge.
Most drop-off events will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at designated locations. The events will have visibly marked lanes for traffic flow, as well as identifiable volunteers who will direct participants.
