TOLEDO, July 26, 2022: At Mom’s House, a new school year means so much more than new school supplies and new clothes. A new school year represents a new beginning, new hope, new opportunities to make dreams come true – dreams of a brighter future for the young moms and their children.

On Thursday, August 11, the Mom’s House preschoolers and former Mom’s House preschool graduates will host their very own Lemonade Stand, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Franklin Avenue will close and local businesses who have sponsored the event will display their decorated lemonade stands and help the young families serve our community. In addition, the young mothers who are current clients and former clients will volunteer their time.

“This is an opportunity for our children to display their communication and leadership skills,” said Christina Rodriguez, Executive Director. “Early learning is critical to families born into poverty and we work hard to ensure each child develops accordingly which is another layer of our program. Our hope is that our community will stop by for a few minutes to encourage their confidence and get a cold glass of lemonade!”

Amazon is the presenting sponsor of this event.
