Escuela SMART Academy celebrated their 2nd Annual Fiesta con Escuela on September 15, 2022.
Approximately 500 students, families and community members were in attendance to celebrate the kick off to Latino/a/x Heritage Month. Mariachi singer and Escuela student abuelo, Jacob Estrada opened the event, singing some crowd favorites. Entertainment continued with El Corazón de Méxic Ballet Folklorico and ended with a salsa dance performance and salsa history lesson by 7th Degree Productions. Attendees enjoyed food from Tacos El Junior and Iglesia de Dios de la Profecia as well as other local non food vendors, games and activities.
Escuela welcomes everyone to return for their next public event, Día del Niño in the spring.
