COLUMBUS, OH, April 25, 2023: With over 200 in attendance, the Ohio Commission on Hispanic/Latino Affairs (OCHLA) hosted their annual Legislative Visit Day. Latinos from across Ohio discussed issues impacting the community with Peers and Legislative Leaders from the State. Workshop participants had an opportunity to discuss issues ranging from Justice and Civil Rights, to Workforce Development.

State Representative Al Cutrona (R-58), joined other Latino elected officials on a panel, discussing Representation Matters. “I never shy away from who I am,” the Puerto Rican descendant mentioned. The elected panel also discussed getting involved on Boards and Commissions, as a way to understand how local government works.
