SYLVANIA, OH, July 16, 2023: The torrid rain during the 3rd Round of the Dana Classic couldn’t stop Linn Grant (Viken, Sweden) from claiming victory on Sunday. She shot -9 thru the first 13 holes, with thoughts of eclipsing the magical 59 that fellow Swede Annika Sorenstam did in 2001. On Sunday, she continued her masterful ways hitting 12/14 fairways, averaging 266 yards in driving distance to finish at -21 to win.
Several Latina Players played in the Tournament including Maria Fassi (Pachuca, Mexico) and Gabby Lopez (Mexico City, Mexico) who finished 6th and 7th respectively. Lopez, was vying for her 2nd straight win in Sylvania. Also finishing in the top 15 was Carlota Ciganda (Spain) who tied for 12th.
This weekend the LPGA Tour travels to Midland, MI for the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational, a stroke-play team competition. Seven Latinas are scheduled to play, including Fassi.
