CLEVELAND, OH, August 18, 2023: Thursday night’s torrential rainfall canceled the first of 4 games for the visiting Tigers, who were eager to take on the Guardians. Four games later, Detroit would leave with 3 wins and head back to Detroit for a 10 game homestead. The first game was won 4-2, the second game was lost 4-1 (Jose Cisneros struggled and gave up 3 runs in the 8th), Saturday’s game was one 4-3 and the final was also won 4-1. As of Monday (8-21-22), the Tigers remained 8 games back of first place Minnesota, with 37 games remaining.
