TOLEDO: The Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities is inviting everyone, especially individuals and families, to its first Transition Summit.
The event will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Nov. 8, 2023 at Lucas DD headquarters in South Toledo. It is aimed at transition-age youth and their families, who often struggle with the amount of information that needs to be known in order to make the best decisions for a child’s future.
The goal of the Lucas DD Transition Summit is to bring as many resources together as possible into one venue so that parents and individuals can ask they specific questions they have of the people who have the answers. It wants to reach families well before their child turns 18 so that they go into that transition age with as much knowledge as possible.
