SYLVANIA, OH, June 6, 2024 – Lourdes University is thrilled to unveil eight new programs: five majors and three minors. The new majors are Environmental Studies, Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, Data Science, and Supply Chain Management. These majors are structured to be four-year programs. The minors are Diversity Studies, Human Development and Family Studies, and Artificial Intelligence Literacy. All programs will go into effect this fall.

“We are very excited to announce the addition of these outstanding, relevant programs,” says Dr. William J. Bisset, President of Lourdes University. “The world is changing, times are changing, and the most impactful thing we can do is listen to students’ passions and interests. The last thing we want to do is become complacent.” He continues, “At Lourdes, we value innovation and proactivity, and the addition of these programs is a direct reflection of that. The intersection of student passion and societal need is where important work is done.”

Dr. Kate Beutel, Interim Provost for Lourdes University, agrees. “We are beyond excited to expand our academic catalog. These programs are not only in demand by current and potential students, but in the workforce as well. We look forward to continuing to prioritize student success post-graduation.”
