SYLVANIA, OH – Lourdes University is grateful to accept a grant in the amount of $1,000 from the Victory Noll Sisters Small Grant Program. These funds will serve as a resource in the university’s commitment to the Vatican’s Laudato Si’ Action Platform.

Laudato Si’ is Pope Francis’ call to care for the earth, our common home. It consists of seven main goals: response to the cry of the earth, response to the cry of the poor, ecological economics, adoption of simple lifestyles, ecological education, ecological spirituality, and community engagement and participatory action.

In October 2023, Lourdes University answered Pope Francis’ call to sustainability and began the seven-year process to become a Laudato Si’ University.

“We are especially thankful to receive this grant during our journey to become a  Laudato Si’ university.” says Amy Bennett, Grants and Compliance Officer at Lourdes University. “We look forward to using this grant to further our sustainability efforts and creating a lasting impact that benefits the environment and community.”
