The Civics Center is offering high school students a $150 Gift Card for helping their school get ready to vote during High School Voter Registration Week, September 23, 2024 – September 27, 2024.

The steps required to run a Voter Registration Drive are:

  • Sign up for two 1-hour virtual workshops which explain the facts about voting in your state and how to run a successful voter registration drive.
  • Plan and run your event by requesting materials and submitting your action plan.
  • Submit a post-drive report to help tally your registrations.

Ohio: Voter registration age is 18 years old by November 2024. Applications must be received or postmarked 30 days before Election Day. If the voter registration deadline falls on a day when office of the Secretary of State and county board of elections are closed, the deadline is extended to the next business day when the office is open.

Michigan: Voter registration is 16+ years . You must be 18 years old to vote. Applications must be postmarked or received by the 15th day before Election Day. In person registration at the city or township clerk’s office is available within 14 days prior to and on Election Day with proof of residency.
