Ann Arbor, MI: Downtown Ann Arbor is bursting with creativity as Youth Art Month officially begins, running from March 1 through March 31, 2025. This annual celebration, presented in partnership with Main Street Ann Arbor and Ann Arbor Public Schools, showcases the artistic talents of local students with artwork displayed in participating businesses throughout the downtown area.

Throughout March, visitors can explore student artwork exhibited in storefronts, cafés, and retail spaces, including Rocket Fizz, Crazy Wisdom, Cherry Republic, Vault of Midnight, Samba Bowls, Old Town Tavern, and Avalon Bakery & Kitchen, among others. The artwork, curated in collaboration with Ann Arbor Art Teachers, highlights the creativity of young artists while fostering a strong connection between the community and local businesses.

In addition to the art displays, the Ann Arbor Art Center will host two free, drop-in family art events during the month, inviting community members of all ages to get creative and celebrate Youth Art Month together.

“We’re thrilled to bring this celebration of student creativity to downtown Ann Arbor once again,” said Ashley Schafer, Executive Director at Main Street Ann Arbor. “Not only does Youth Art Month provide a platform for young artists to showcase their work, but it also encourages the community to explore downtown businesses and engage with the arts in new ways.”

Residents and visitors are encouraged to stroll through downtown Ann Arbor throughout March to admire student artwork and participate in the Ann Arbor Art Center’s drop-in art events.
