Hadestown Teen Edition by the Ottawa Hills Theatre Arts Department

Hadestown, the Teen and Family edition, put on by the Ottawa Hills Theatre Arts Department on April 4, 5, and 6, 2025, was a remarkable and moving musical. This musical, adapted for teens from Anaïas Mitchell’s Hadestown, made you feel as if you were in New Orleans, Louisiana. When Persephone (Olivia “Via” Bridges) enters the stage, her charisma fills the space and makes you feel as if you are actually in a Speak Easy in the French Quarter or on Frenchmen Street. Hadestown is about a young girl looking for something to eat (physically and metaphorically). It is about ancient Greek mythology, of Orpheus, Eurydice, and the underworld- hell. It is a romance and is not your typical high school musical. The students, the cast, the production, and all involved put on a great show. The vibrancy in color and musical selection were top-notch! Hadestown Edición para Adolescentes por el Departamento de Artes Teatrales de Ottawa Hills

Hadestown, la edición para adolescentes y familias, presentada por el Departamento de Artes Teatrales de Ottawa Hills los días 4, 5 y 6 de abril de 2025, fue un musical extraordinario y conmovedor. Este musical, adaptado para adolescentes, de Hadestown y de Anaïas Mitchell, te hizo sentir como si estuvieras en Nueva Orleans, Louisiana. Cuando Persephone (Olivia “Via” Bridges) entra al escenario, su carisma llena el espacio y te hace sentir como si estuvieras en un bar clandestino del Barrio Francés o en la calle Frenchmen. Hadestown es de una joven que busca algo de comer (física y metafóricamente). Trata sobre la mitología griega antigua, sobre Orfeo, Eurídice y el inframundo- el infierno. Es una historia de amor y no es el típico musical de instituto. Los estudiantes, el elenco, la producción, y todos los involucrados ofrecieron un espectáculo magnífico. ¡La vitalidad, el colorido y la selección musical fueron de primera!
