CLEVELAND (April 21, 2025)—Celebrate long summer days and hot summer nights at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s (CMA) 14th annual Summer Solstice festival on Saturday, June 21, from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Solstice, Cleveland’s most anticipated summer spectacular, which combines music, art, dance, and projections, features performances by international bands on the museum’s outdoor south terrace and nationally recognized DJs in the Ames Family Atrium. All-inclusive tickets—covering admission as well as unlimited appetizers and beverages, including beer, wine, and canned cocktails—go on sale for members at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 28, followed by the public sale at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29. This event is for guests 21 or older. Early ticket purchasing is recommended as this event is expected to sell out.
This year, Solstice’s main stage features live music sets with a lot of brass instruments and horn sections. Audiences can sonically travel the globe visiting New Orleans, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain, and more. The evening kicks off with a second line march by Cleveland’s own Da Land Brass Band followed by performances by Balkan Paradise Orchestra (Spain), El Laberinto del Coco (Puerto Rico), and Mexican Institute of Sound (Mexico). Kevin Jackson, renowned for his innovative and captivating VJ sets, projects original, vibrant content onto the museum’s facade. Projection mapping, lighting displays, and additional decorations electrify the CMA on this energy-filled night.
In the museum’s Ames Family Atrium, guests can dance the night away at It’s a Vibe: Solstice Atrium Takeover, a one-night-only edition of the extremely popular monthly It’s a Vibe dance party hosted every first Saturday at the Foundation Room inside House of Blues Cleveland. Featuring DJ sets by Sound on Tape, Corey Grand, and Knyce, this special Solstice affair blends music, style, and culture into an elevated nightlife experience.
Solstice attendees have the opportunity to enjoy the CMA at night, explore the grounds, visit our permanent collection galleries, enjoy flash talks by museum staff, and experience portions our blockbuster exhibition, Takashi Murakami: Stepping on the Tail of a Rainbow.

2025 Artists
Balkan Paradise Orchestra
Inspired by street music and circus festivals of the Balkan region, Balkan Paradise Orchestra (BPO), a 10-piece all-female Balkan brass party band, originally formed to perform the repertoire mainly from Serbia and Romania. Progressively, the group began to create original songs that mix different rhythms and melodies from the Iberian Peninsula and beyond, resulting in eclectic and festive music that flirts with pop, disco, and Balkan influences. BPO has won numerous awards, including the Cabal Musical Project prize from Taller de Músics de Barcelona (2015); 1st prize at Haizetara—International Street Music Competition in Amorebieta-Etxano, Euskadi (2017); Sons de la Mediterrània (2017); Best Folk Album by popular vote at Enderrock (2018); Revelation Artist at the Alicia Awards (2019); and Best International Tour at the ARC Awards (2022).
Corey Grand
Corey Grand is one of the most in-demand DJ talents performing regularly at national events. His extensive client list includes Google Pixel, Jack Daniels, Hennessy, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Red Bull, Saks Fifth Avenue, the NBA, and the WNBA. Corey won Cleveland Scene magazine’s Best DJ award in 2013. He was a finalist in the 2012 Complex / McDonald’s Flavor DJ battle and in Red Bull’s 3Style DJ battle. Corey is also the official DJ of the Ohio State Buckeyes football team. Tune in to Cleveland’s Z107.9 FM every Saturday, 12:00–2:00 a.m. and 12:00–1:00 p.m., and every Sunday, 12:00–1:00 p.m., to hear Corey on the airwaves.
Da Land Brass Band
Formed in 2016, Da Land Brass Band is a Cleveland-based brass band featuring high-energy, horn-heavy original songs, funky adaptations of classics, and true-roots New Orleans music. The group has had the pleasure of opening for and playing with legendary artists, including the Rebirth Brass Band, Big Freedia, Lucky Chops, and Shamarr Allen. Da Land Brass Band has performed at Brite Winter, Tri-C Jazz Fest, FireFish Festival, and IngenuityFest. It was also a finalist in the Best Jazz category at the 2022 Cleveland Music Awards.
Kevin Jackson Projection Mapping
The CMA comes alive with projection mapping from Cleveland artist Kevin Jackson, a forward-thinking visual artist specializing in unique projection-mapping installations. Jackson has produced one-of-a-kind visuals for Tobacco, for Black Moth Super Rainbow, and at the Super Bowl, and he is consistently hired by internationally renowned DJs and festivals. At Solstice, he creates site-specific content inspired by the museum’s art collection and the music of the other bands performing.
Knyce
Keenan “Knyce” Williams is a seasoned DJ with deep roots in Cleveland’s music scene, known for his ability to move any crowd with a dynamic blend of hip-hop, soul, rock, and more. Beyond the booth, he’s a community leader and cofounder of Soundbender Institute—a social enterprise that supports aspiring DJs and provides music education to inner-city youth. He also runs nyceCO, a creative printshop specializing in custom apparel for local businesses and organizations.
El Laberinto del Coco
El Laberinto del Coco, founded by Héctor “Coco” Barez, is a dynamic and vibrant 14-piece bomba-fusion band hailing from Puerto Rico. Combining traditional Afro–Puerto Rican rhythms with contemporary musical elements of jazz, funk, and reggae, the group has become a prominent force in the global music scene. With its electrifying performances and innovative approach, expect sizzling horn lines, funky guitar riffs, layered percussion, and captivating vocals that have you moving and grooving all night long. The band’s 2024 NPR Tiny Desk was recognized as one of the best of the year by the Welcome to the Culture podcast.
Mexican Institute of Sound
Emmy-winning and Grammy- and Latin Grammy–nominated Mexico City–based Latin producer Camilo Lara creates irresistible dance music with his project, Mexican Institute of Sound, a four-piece band that fuses thunderous beats enlivened by real-time Latin percussive accents, polka, norteño, mariachi, punk, disco, and rock flavors. Mexican Institute of Sound has performed on every continent, headlining Mexico City’s Vive Latino in 2024 to a crowd of more than 80,000. Camilo created incidental music and was the musical consultant for Pixar’s Coco, and he was part of the music teams for Thor: Love and Thunder and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. His music has been featured in Breaking Bad, Y Tu Mamá También, Californication, and Ugly Betty. Time magazine named Camilo one of the “80 Mexicans Shaping Contemporary Culture.” Spanish newspaper El Pais named him one of the “50 Most Influential People in Latin America.” Quien magazine named him one of the “50 People Who Are Transforming Mexico.”
Sound on Tape
Born in Cleveland, enigmatic producer Sound on Tape draws influence from legends El-B, Burial, Mr. Fingers, Kraftwerk, and Sticky, as well as from deep-seated jazz icons Bill Evans and John Coltrane. His first EP, Hush Harbors, cements his unique blend of electronic music rooted in garage, jazz, and beyond. Released through 904L World Class Sound, the project sonically places him alongside contemporaries Sammy Virji, Overmono, Emma-Jean Thackray, and Higgo. With remixes from rising UKG stars MPH, Zefer, Wilfy D, and house producer Mike Nasty, Sound on Tape is quickly becoming one of the most respected voices in the genre.
