Casa de Rosado Galeria and Cultural Center is hosting Lansing’s 29th Día de Los Muertos celebration at the Michigan History Museum on November 1- November 2, 2025.

Casa de Rosado is looking for a calavera image 8” x 10” or 16”x 20” (vertical) to represent the celebration on social media & event materials and will select one winner of $500. Other selected images will be on display during the event. Get your inspiration from Jose Guadalupe Posada, the broadsheet artist that produced thousands of Calaveras celebrating life. No Halloween, gore or spooky art, only vibrant, joyful and celebratory art to welcome our ancestors return.

Last year nearly a two thousand people visited the center during this celebration.

Art will be judged by artist Theresa Rosado whom founded Casa de Rosado Galeria and Cultural Center in 2016.

This year Casa de Rosado is blessed to receive funds donated for artists through patrons. After significant DEI cuts that eliminated the exhibit & operation budget, the community is responding by personally donating to ensure the tradition of Día de Los Muertos continues in Michigan.

Deadline For Submissions:  DEADLINE AUGUST 31, 2025 by 11:59pm EST
