The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office is excited to introduce its newest community outreach program Frosty Five-0, a wrapped ice cream van designed to bring free frozen treats and positive relationships to neighborhoods across Lorain County.

This van will be used to hand out free ice cream to kids during community events, special patrols, and outreach programs.

“Frosty Five-0 is all about breaking down barriers and bringing smiles to the faces of the kids and families we serve,” said Sheriff Jack M. Hall. “We want our young residents to see our deputies as protectors and partners and nothing brings people together like ice cream on a summer day.”

The success of this program is thanks to the generous support of community partners:

  • Lorain County Children and Families First Council donated all the ice cream for the 2025 season.
  • Dynamic Signs and Wraps provided the vehicle wrap design and installation as a full sponsorship.
  • Ryan’s Auto Detailing contributed by donating full detailing services to prepare the van for its big debut.

A photo accompanying this release features Sheriff Jack Hall, Corrections K-9 Officers Mead and Holbrook, and K-9s Riggs and Chewy enjoying ice cream next to the newly wrapped Frosty Five-0 van – a lighthearted and furry kickoff to a summer of community outreach.

The Sheriff’s Office will share Frosty Five-0’s future stops and appearances through its social media platforms. Community members are encouraged to follow along and join in the fun!
