Toledo, OH, August 27, 2025: Opera ‘Round Town returns this September with weekly performances at Wildwood Preserve Metropark. The first performance will take place on the front lawn at the Manor House at Wildwood Preserve Metropark on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, performances will be moved indoors to the Manor House. Lawn chairs and/or picnic blankets are recommended.

Developed in partnership with presenting sponsor iHeart Media, Inc., Opera ‘Round Town expands Toledo Opera’s community outreach efforts, offering live performances at a range of community hubs across the region. The upcoming fall series will feature Toledo Opera’s 2025-2026 cohort of resident artists, selected from an international pool of more than 150 applicants for a one-year residency in Toledo. Resident Artists Sarah Rachel Bacani (soprano), Danielle Casós (mezzo-soprano), Brady DelVecchio (tenor), Rick Hale (baritone), and Yura Jang (pianist) will perform iconic vocal selections from the classical repertoire, along with musical theatre and other American standards.

For Toledo Opera General Director James M. Norman, Opera ‘Round Town embodies connection and accessibility: “With Opera ‘Round Town, we’re bringing the beauty and excitement of live opera into the very spaces where our community gathers – at the Metroparks and throughout the region. Thanks to the generous support of iHeart Media, this revitalized series makes opera more accessible, more engaging, and more deeply connected to the people we serve.”

“iHeart Media is proud to continue our partnership with Toledo Opera through the vibrant Opera ‘Round Town series,” said Taylor Booth, Market President of iHeart Media, Inc. “This initiative beautifully blends community engagement with world-class artistry, and we’re honored to help bring these performances to neighborhoods across Toledo. Supporting the arts remains a cornerstone of our mission, and we’re excited to help make opera more accessible, inspiring, and unforgettable for all.”

“The beautiful voices from the Toledo Opera surrounded by the natural beauty of Wildwood Preserve is just a perfect combination,” said Trish Hausknecht, Manager of Community Engagement for Metroparks Toledo. “This is such an enjoyable evening. Park visitors bring their lawn chairs to the front of the Manor House, maybe a picnic basket too, and simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the beauty all around them.”
