On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 7:30 pm, the Music Business Technology students from Owens Community College will present their second concert of the 10th Annual, 2025-26, Accent on the Arts concert series, featuring La Nueva Onda. Accent on the Arts is a free concert series designed, booked, promoted, and presented by Music Business Technology students. The concert will be in the spacious, 526-seat, Mainstage Theatre in the Center for Fine and Performing Arts on the Owens Community College Toledo Campus. The Center for Fine and Performing Arts is located at: 7270 Biniker RD, Perrysburg, Ohio.
La Nueva Onda is a Tejano/Conjunto band, comprised of five members from the Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio areas. The band was originally formed by two brothers, Herbey Atkinson and Paul Cervantes, in 2001. After a long hiatus, the band reformed strengthening their sound with another brother Eduardo Atkinson, and musical brothers Sammy Gonzalez and Fernando Hernandez. Together they have brought La Nueva Onda’s sound to a new level and have continued to create a following in their community and surrounding areas.
