CLEVELAND, OH, September 10, 2025: In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 – October 15, the Cleveland Public Library is observing the month-long celebration with free programs across the city, highlighting art, food, music, and family traditions.

“Hispanic Heritage Month is a celebration of stories, traditions, and culture that shape our community,” said Ashley D. Boyd, Senior Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging at Cleveland Public Library. “These events offer opportunities for all Clevelanders to connect, learn, and celebrate together.”

Patrons are invited to Somos Uno: Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration! on Saturday, September 27, to explore the vibrant Hispanic and Latino community through music, culture, and storytelling. Family History Day on Saturday, October 4, offers workshops with genealogists, librarians, and archivists on DNA, migration, archives, and research methods for all skill levels. The celebration continues Thursday, October 16, as Cuban novelist and poet Wendy Guerra will read from her work and participate in a conversation and book signing in collaboration with Case Western Reserve University and Trasatlántica.
