Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Civic Engagement and Dialogue
Toledo, OH — On October 15, 2025, the final day of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Latino community of Northwest Ohio will come together for a Latino Community Forum with the Candidates for Toledo City Council. The event will take place at the Sofía Quintero Arts and Cultural Center, located at 1225 Broadway Street, Toledo, OH 43609. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and the forum begins at 5:30 p.m.
This free and public event offers residents a unique opportunity to hear directly from Toledo City Council at-large candidates ahead of the upcoming election. Candidates will share their perspectives on key issues affecting the Latino community and the city as a whole.
The evening will be moderated by Margarita De Leon, a respected community leader and advocate. The format will allow each candidate to give a brief introduction and respond to a series of community-focused questions designed to foster meaningful dialogue and informed decision-making.
Attendees can expect to:
- Meet the candidates who are seeking to represent the people of Toledo.
- Hear where each stands on issues that impact Latino families and neighborhoods.
- Engage in civic conversation that empowers voters to make informed choices at the ballot box.
Light refreshments will be provided, and all members of the public are invited to attend.
