TOLEDO, OH, October 27, 2025: El Corazon de Mexico Ballet Folklorico invites the community to its annual Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) performance at Lourdes University on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Franciscan Center, 6832 Convent Blvd., Sylvania, Ohio. Doors will open at 6:00 PM.

Now in its eighth year, this vibrant tradition—first held in 2018—has become a beloved community celebration honoring Mexican culture, remembrance, and artistry. The 2025 performance will feature over 40 dancers from El Corazon de Mexico Ballet Folklorico, presenting an exciting showcase of traditional dances from various states and regions of Mexico.

This year’s performance is sponsored by Lourdes University and made possible through the support of the Lourdes University CARES Committee, which champions programs that promote Community, Awareness, Respect, Education, and Service.

“Día de los Muertos is a time to honor those who came before us through music, dance, and storytelling,” said Elaina Hernandez, Director and Founder of El Corazon de Mexico. “We are proud to share this beautiful cultural tradition each year with the Lourdes community and the public.”

The event is free and open to the Lourdes University community and the public.
