Toledo Public Schools (TPS) Transformation Meeting @ Bowsher High School

The Toledo Public Schools (TPS) Transformation Meeting at Bowsher High School was held on February 11, 2026. Like the previous one held at Woodward High School, Dr. Durant, Superintendent of TPS, spoke to the community and those in attendance about the need to get community input regarding how to transform the district, balance the budget after state and federal cuts to education, and in particular, he spoke about the possibility of turning Bowsher High School into a 7-12 grade Arts & Science Academy. If you are interested in hearing and giving input into what is happening at your child’s Toledo Public School, you still have time to attend other Transformation meetings being held throughout the district, and translation services (Spanish) are available.

La Reunión de Transformación de las Escuelas Públicas de Toledo (TPS) en la Preparatoria Bowsher se llevó a cabo el 11 de febrero de 2026. Al igual que la anterior, el Dr. Durant, Superintendente de las TPS, se dirigió a la comunidad y a los asistentes sobre la necesidad de obtener la opinión de la comunidad sobre cómo transformar el distrito, equilibrar el presupuesto tras los recortes estatales y federales a la educación y, en particular, habló sobre la posibilidad de convertir la Preparatoria Bowsher en una Academia de Artes y Ciencias para los grados 7.º a 12.º. Si le interesa escuchar y opinar sobre lo que está sucediendo en la Escuela Pública de Toledo de su hijo/a, aún tiene tiempo para asistir a otras reuniones de Transformación que se llevan a cabo en todo el distrito y se traducen al español.
