MENTAL HEALTH & RECOVERY SERVICES BOARD LAUNCHES CRITICAL COMMUNITY SURVEY TO SHAPE LUCAS COUNTY’S FUTURE CARE

Toledo, OH, November 26, 2025— The Mental Health & Recovery Services Board of Lucas County (MHRSB) launched a county-wide public survey, seeking confidential input to inform the next phase of its strategic plan for behavioral health and recovery services. This critical initiative aims to ensure that future funding and resources directly address the real, evolving mental health, and Substance abuse needs of Lucas County residents.

The Board is urging all residents who have been affected by behavioral health issues—whether personally, through family members or loved ones, or professionally through their work—to complete the short, confidential survey. The data collected will serve as the foundation for the Board’s decisions on future service delivery, funding priorities, and overall system improvements.

“We know behavioral health touches every corner of our community, yet those voices are not always heard at the planning table,” said Scott Sylak, Executive Director of MHRSB. “This survey is designed to lift up those experiences. By providing their honest feedback, residents are directly helping us understand what is working well and where critical changes must be made to build a more effective, compassionate system of care for everyone.”

The survey is designed to be completed in 10-15 minutes and guarantees strict confidentiality. To ensure broad participation, the online survey is accessible with embedded translation options for English, Spanish, and Arabic.
