On September 10th and 11th, 2026, the Adelante Leadership Summit brought together several hundred Indigenous Latinos from across Ohio and near Cleveland. The Summit was a timely and critical examination of who we are individually and collectively. According to Ramon Perez, writer/journalist for La Prensa, Inc., who was present, “the Summit participants found themselves reinventing our path forward more as indigenous people without ever being detained again in our own homelands.”
