Toledo’s biggest party is expanding, with Toledo Jeep Fest expected to draw tens of thousands of people downtown August 1-4. As the Transportation Partner for this event, TARTA is proud to provide solutions to parking challenges with the Jeep Fest Express to the parade on Saturday, August 3.
All-Jeep Parade fans will be able to park at Franklin Park Mall or Starr Elementary School (3230 Starr Avenue) in Oregon and ride to and from the event for $1.50 per ride or $3 round trip.
Direct trips from both locations to the downtown drop-off point – near the corner of Jackson and Huron streets – will begin at 8:30 a.m. and run every 30 to 60 minutes until 1 p.m. Trips headed back to park-and-ride locations will leave downtown starting and 10:30 a.m. and depart every 30 to 60 minutes until 4 p.m.
“We are grateful for the hard work by so many people that goes in to putting together this great event, and we are of course excited to be a part of it again this year,” said TARTA CEO Laura Koprowski. “It is so important that cost not be a barrier to families who want to enjoy all of the wonderful things happening in the area this summer, so providing an affordable ride to Toledo Jeep Fest continues to be a priority for TARTA.
“Jeep Fest is an amazing opportunity for our community to shine. The Jeep Fest Express is designed to reduce traffic congestion, promote sustainability, and ensure accessibility for everyone to the parade and everything else that makes the first weekend of August amazing in Toledo.”
Customers can pay with cash or through the EZFare app. Jeep Fest revelers will also be able to take TARTA’s fixed-route vehicles, which will be running on a Saturday schedule. Trips to Jeep Fest for paratransit customers can be scheduled by calling 419-382-9901.
